So moving on to something a bit more serious, I wonder what themes and concepts you guys explore on Sonder. These numerous combinations allow TesseracT to present remarkable blends of music that are as heavy as they are peaceful.

I felt that this track needed more firepower. At times all-out brutal, to soothing, to funky. Your music is always very sort of introspective and transcendental. I wonder how you all feel about that. Tesseract began recording the album inreleasing its first single, “Smile”, on 23 June, with the intention of reworking it for Sonder.

The Bootleg Series, Vol. Every day is pretty much the same: From there, the material maintains a happy balance between those laid back sections and more hectic beatdowns.

I think a tour with Tool would cross one off my bucket list.

Eleven years into their career, Tesseract are still thriving. Mirror image is the only track that, while not being bad, is a bit lacking in its finale. For starters the production is phenomenal, the Smile demo teased back in has been reworked to sound like something out of One their first albumand the song Juno as well as the Orbital prelude leading into it are amazing, which sounds like something off of Altered State, and the second part of the longest track, Mirror Image very clearly reminds me of the instrumentals off of Polaris.

That isn’t to say TesseracT abandoned aggression entirely. Because then people would see that while Sonder doesn’t reinvent the bands sound, it is nevertheless good material and undeniably TesseracT.

To be blunt, Tesseract are entirely too reliant on ambiance as their “secret sauce. I think Devin Townsend does that a lot. I think that on a certain level, it was deliberate. I just see it as notably accessible rather than, say, generic or a sell-out song.

Of course this means that every single track has to deliver, otherwise you are left with only a handful of good tracks. Its constant ability to maneuver in technicality and soneer captivating song structure is to be applauded. The Creator – Mdou Moctar. I was going to ask you about bringing the screaming back.
