The house is small but lovely to explore around and find out the family My two sons loved the Easter Egg hunt around the grounds, it also ensured we covered most of the grounds. Although the A21 main road passes the grounds, it cannot be seen from the Castle. My teens love coming here as they are keen photographers and the castle always looks so romantic in every season of the See all 18 questions. Is this place or activity closed during certain parts of the year? A great day out and enjoyable experience visiting this wonderfully interesting house , castle and the beautiful gardens too.

It is a beautiful National Trust place with lots of land for walking around. Are the prices for this place or activity expensive?

Lovely if your a bird love. The main house is interesting and cosy family home,but the jewel is the folly and elizabethan house surround by a moat with lovely gardens surrounding it with a moat and also has a boat house. The little play area for the children is nice too. The grounds themselves are large and picturesque.

Very friendly staff, cadtle of which are clearly devoting their free time to support the NT. Are you open Easter Monday please.
