Church releases records on priest abuse · 10 June 07
The Archdiocese of Portland recently released the first batch of records related to abuse of children by priests. The Register-Guard reported Friday there is no particular order to the pile of unnamed computer files released by the archdiocese. So far, their story notes, there isn’t any sensible way to search them either. Lawyers for victims in the case say the records don’t reveal what church officials knew about abusive priests.
